Texas A&M was able to make a bold statement earlier in the postseason when ESPN?s Mark Schlabach created his 2013 Way-Too-Early Preaseason Top 25.
A&M debuted at No. 5 in his first poll and dropped to No. 4 in February. With spring football behind us, Schlabach?s latest top 25 has A&M dropping two spots to No. 6.
?There wasn?t much of a transition this spring after offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury left to become Texas Tech?s new coach,? Schlabach said. ?But defensive coordinator Mark Snyder has to replace seven starters, including star linebacker?Sean Porter?and defensive lineman?Damontre Moore.
?Junior college transfer?Tommy Sanders?should take over Porter?s spot, and Snyder hopes?Julien Obioha,?Brandon Alexander?andTyrell Taylor?can emerge as consistent pass-rushers.?
A&M?s fall was due in large part to Louisville moving into the No. 4 spot up from No. 8. To see the complete top 25, click here.
