Verizon lights up additional LTE markets ahead of iPhone 5 launch

As consumers across the U.S. patiently await the arrival of the iPhone 5, Verizon Wireless (VZ) on Thursday flipped the LTE switch on in 19 new markets across the country. In addition, the nation?s largest carrier also expanded its high-speed network in 20 existing markets. Verizon?s 4G LTE network now covers more than 75% of the U.S. population and has more coverage than all other U.S. carriers combined. Verizon Wireless Introduces High-Speed 4G LTE Network In Pueblo, Colorado

PUEBLO, CO ? Verizon Wireless customers in Pueblo will be able to experience the blazingly fast speeds and capabilities of America?s largest 4G Long Term Evolution (LTE) network when the service launches here on Thursday, Sept. 20. The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network covers more than 75 percent of the U.S. population and has more coverage than all other U.S. wireless providers combined. The introduction of 4G LTE in Pueblo moves Verizon Wireless one step closer to its goal of covering 400 markets across the United States with its 4G LTE network by the end of 2012.

On Thursday, Sept. 20, customers who live in or visit areas in Pueblo north along I-25 to Pinon Road, south to Burnt Mill Road, west along US-50 to Pueblo Blvd., and east to Baxter Road will have access to the nation?s fastest 4G network. In addition to introducing its 4G LTE network in Pueblo, Verizon Wireless is also expanding and introducing the network in Greeley, Longmont and Aspen/Snowmass in Colorado on Sept. 20.
