Indonesian President meets Norwegian Prime Minister in Seoul

During the recent Seoul Nuclear Security Summit?held at?the end of March in Seoul, Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg had the opportunity to meet.

They exchanged views on the positive developments within the bilateral relations and particularly focused on the good cooperation within the forest sector.

The Indonesian President once again underlined the Indonesian commitment to reduce emissions by protecting the rain forest and peat lands and was optimistic they would succeed with the close cooperation from Norway.

The conversation also touched the stable economic growth in Indonesia and how Norway has successfully been able to meet and overcome the financial crisis and economic challenges in Europe.

The leaders agreed that relations and exchange within the business sectors of Indonesia and Norway could be strengthened.
